Emergency calls, recurring contracts, and technician handoffs now run through one system, where customers, technicians, and admins act on the same live job data.

About NAPA Development.

NAPA Development is a technology driven home services platform designed to simplify access to appliance maintenance and electronic servicing. Users can request urgent repairs or schedule services in advance, choosing from multiple subscription and pricing tiers. By centralizing discovery, scheduling, billing, and technician coordination, NAPA positions itself as a trusted digital solution for modern home maintenance.

The Challenge.

Home maintenance services are often fragmented, requiring customers to coordinate through calls, manual scheduling, and inconsistent pricing. NAPA aimed to eliminate this by creating a centralized mobile platform supporting urgent requests, recurring contracts, and structured service management across every customer touchpoint.

The system needed to handle complex booking flows, stacked service requests, live technician tracking, flexible billing logic, and secure authentication. At the same time, administrators required full operational visibility for technician assignment, billing, and service category control.

Delivering a seamless experience across customers, technicians, and supervisors required a scalable backend architecture and carefully designed workflows for every role. Each role needed its own interface, its own permissions, and its own view into the same live data, without duplicating logic or creating gaps between what a customer saw and what a technician or supervisor acted on.

NAPA required a scalable, role based service platform capable of managing emergency requests, scheduled maintenance, technician coordination, and transparent billing within one reliable digital ecosystem.

NAPA customer app, technician app, and admin panel interfaces

The Solution.

Ontik built a service marketplace structured around three roles. The React Native customer app lets users manage multiple addresses, combine service requests, and schedule maintenance, with an SOS feature for emergencies. Technicians get job updates and location sharing. Admin and supervisor panels run on Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, and AWS for full operational control.

All Technologies Used.

Node.js Express Next.js React Native PostgreSQL AWS

The Outcome.

Ontik helped NAPA achieve:

  • Instant emergency access through an integrated SOS feature.
  • Ability to combine multiple service requests within a single visit.
  • Real time technician tracking with live location sharing.
  • Transparent billing with staged payments and detailed breakdowns.
  • Centralized administrative control with scalable workflow management.

NAPA now runs on a streamlined, technology driven infrastructure that turns fragmented home maintenance coordination into a transparent, scalable digital experience.
